The Yogaśikṣā Abhyāsa Program offers Samyak Yoga alumni an opportunity to deepen their practice and knowledge through immersive learning, hands-on experience, and traditional Gurukula-inspired mentorship.
Overview
Duration: Minimum of 1 week, maximum of 4 weeks
Cost: 25 Euros/day (twin sharing) or 35 Euros/day (private accommodation)
Donation: At the end of the program, you may choose to donate for the study as per your wish.
Refreshing your studies

Refresh your practice of asana, pranayama and meditation every day at the teacher training intensive level.

Participate in the Asana Clinic Sessions to refresh the studies you have gone through.

Participate in the Kirtans and other Yogic discussions with the teacher training students group and the teaching team.
Program Highlights

Daily Practice & Assisting in Classes

Participate in morning asana, pranayama, and meditation classes at a teacher training level.

Assist in asana clinics and yoga classes, helping students with postural adjustments, setting up props, and providing modifications.

Capture photos and videos (without disturbing the classes) to document sessions for Samyak Yoga's community.

Community Building

Engage with students and guests to foster a sense of belonging.

Lead group discussions, connection games, or informal sessions to create a nurturing, supportive environment.

Classroom Preparation

Prepare the yoga hall with mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and other props to ensure a smooth and organized class setup.

Bridging Students and Teachers
-
Act as a point of contact between students and teachers, facilitating communication, offering support, and creating a friendly environment for learning.

Content Creation & Learning (Afternoon Sessions)

From morning until lunchtime, your focus will be on asana practices, pranayama, meditation, and assisting in the asana clinic. After lunch, you’ll engage in tasks like content creation, kitchen assistance, or social media management until 6:00 PM.

The day concludes with a specialized study session on the subject you've chosen to explore with the Acharya.

Engage in focused studies with the option to explore various topics, including:

Yoga Darshana: Deepen your understanding of yoga philosophy.

Advaita Vedanta: Dive into the philosophy of non-dualism.
-
Traditional Vedic Chanting: Learn and practice sacred Vedic chants.

Ayurveda Studies: Expand your knowledge of Ayurvedic practices.

Advanced Asana Practices: Refine your physical practice with advanced techniques.

Scripture Studies: Study foundational texts like Viveka Chudamani, Yoga Tattwa Upanishad, or the Bhagavad Gita.

Please Note: You won't be able to study all of these topics. You can choose to study any one or two depending on how many days you would stay and how deep you would like to explore.
Schedule & Requirements

Program Days: 6-day weekly schedule, with designated days off on the 7th, 14th, and 21st, aligning with teacher training students' schedules.

Commitment: The listed sessions are mandatory for participants to ensure a full immersion experience.

Eligibility: Open only to Samyak Yoga alumni who completed a Yoga Teacher Training at least six months prior to applying.
Note: Your participation should serve as an inspiration for the teacher training students, encouraging them in their journey of learning. While you are here as a volunteer, please remember to approach each day with a student’s mindset, ready to learn and grow alongside the community.
