Course Syllabus

Asana Practices

Your pranayama practices can get better only with the regular asana practices. Therefore, everyday you will have asana practices in the early morning. These practices help you open up yourself from the physical to chakra levels, to prepare better for the pranayama practices. All our asana practices in this course are specifically curated keeping the pranayama practices in mind.

Pranayama Practices

Pranayama is often praised for its profound benefits, yet few truly cultivate a consistent and structured practice. While the techniques are important, the real transformation lies in understanding the process - how to begin, how to progress, and how to refine your practice safely and effectively.

This training delves into the essential foundations of pranayama, including the correct starting points, common experiences, warning signs to be mindful of, and the ideal breath ratios for different levels. Through this course, you will systematically build a strong pranayama practice, taking it to an advanced and deeply transformative level.

Teach to Learn Pranayama

Teaching pranayama is an art that requires precision and awareness. As a teacher, you must provide clear guidance while maintaining a calm and steady presence. Your voice should be audible yet gentle, your instructions concise yet comprehensive. At times, demonstration is essential, but lengthy explanations can disrupt the meditative flow of the practice.

Balancing these aspects is key to becoming an effective pranayama teacher. In this course, you will refine the skill of teaching pranayama - from the foundational levels to advanced practices - learning how to instruct with clarity, confidence, and sensitivity to the student’s experience.

Theme based Asana Practices for Pranayama

Asana practice serves as a powerful foundation for deepening pranayama. When approached correctly, it prepares the body and mind, allowing pranayama to unfold with meditative ease.

In this course, each evening, we will explore thoughtfully designed asana sequences, each focusing on different physical and psychological aspects to complement your pranayamas. These sessions are not just movement - they are essential tools that will refine and enhance your pranayama journey, making the practice more profound and transformative.

Anatomy of Pranayama Practices

Understanding the anatomy of pranayama brings depth and precision to your practice. Breath is not just air moving in and out; it is an intricate interplay of the diaphragm, lungs, ribcage, and nervous system, all working in harmony.

In this course, we will explore how pranayama influences the respiratory system, the role of the diaphragm in breath control, and the impact of different breathing techniques on the autonomic nervous system. By deepening this awareness, you will learn to guide the breath more effectively, refine your practice, and teach with greater clarity and confidence.
